What's New in This Release
User Environment Manager 9.2 provides the following new features and enhancements:
- Privilege ElevationAllows designation of pre-configured apps to run with elevated privileges on local desktop, as if the user is a member of the Administrators group.
- Refresh triggered tasks configurationAllows a refresh of triggered tasks configuration during user session.
- SyncTool can work in NoAD modeAllows SyncTool to be configured through NoAD.xml instead of through a Group Policy.
- Publisher-based application blockingExtends existing application blocking feature to work based on the application publisher in addition to location and hash.
- Added the Time Range, Day of the Week and Active Directory site name conditions
- Expanded Application Templates and Windows Common SettingsAdded support for Remote Desktop Connection, Internet Explorer WebCache, mapped network drives, Microsoft Edge, ODBC User DSNs, and recently opened items.
- Expanded Platform SupportThe following platforms are now supported:
- Windows Server 2016 Standard and Datacenter x64
- Windows 10 Creators Update, version 1703
Resolved Issues:
- SyncTool does not support the NoAD mode.
- Duplicate folders might appear after enabling Folder Redirection.
SyncTool does not support the NoAD mode. You must continue using Group Policy-based configuration for User Environment Manager if you use SyncTool.
When you enable folder redirection feature through User Environment Manager, duplicate folders are observed in the user profile. One of the folders points to the redirected location and the other is on the local hard drive.
